Welcome to my conscience. My method of writing accountability. My attempt to build and maintain momentum in my different writing projects.
Currently, I have three major projects in the works. Two are for work and involve colleagues and one is my next YA novel (which is the sequel to my NaNoWriMo project). You'll be able to check on the progress of the projects in the word count status bar over on the right side of the blog.
So, what led me to do this you ask? Today I saw a post on Debbie Ohi's Facebook about her 250, 500, or 1000 Words A Day Challenge and decided to create this blog in order to journal and reflect on my writing progress. I participated in NaNoWriMo this year and successfully wrote a 50,000 word Young Adult novel. I was pumped. I was motivated. Then, NaNoWriMo was over and my writing stopped. My plan was to let the novel sit while I went on to book two. Then, when I went back to revise I'd be looking at it with fresh eyes. I've even started book two, but it isn't really going anywhere. I need a boost and I'm hoping this will do it. I'm not waiting until the first of the year and calling this a New Year's Resolution - I'm going to get started today. Well....maybe tomorrow. Wish me luck.
